גיהינום הוא מקום של עינויים וייסורים נצחיים, שבו שוכנות הנשמות הרשעות לאחר המוות. גיהינום מתואר בדרך כלל כמקום חשוך, חם וצחיח, שבו יש שפע של אש וגופרית. ביהדות, גיהינום נקרא גיהנום. בנצרות, גיהינום נקרא גיהינום האש. באסלאם, גיהינום נקרא ג'הנם.
